In a world consumed by an existential void, the once-mighty Divine Warriors were reduced to naught but a distant memory, defeated and scattered across the vast expanse of space-time. The ambitious project to bring Zan's story to life in the form of an anime film had been conceived by the illustrious artist and illustrator, Amano Yoshitaka. In 2010, he announced plans to release the movie, aptly titled "DEVA ZAN," to a global audience in the spring of 2012. Amano's vision was to infuse traditional Eastern myths with the vibrant spirit of anime, creating a unique and captivating cinematic experience that would resonate with audiences worldwide. However, the realization of this ambitious project proved to be a more arduous undertaking than initially anticipated. In an October 2012 interview, Amano revealed that the animation project was still in its formative stages, plagued by funding issues and development setbacks. As a result, the possibility of a feature film release became increasingly uncertain, and Amano eventually indicated that the project might be reimagined as a television series instead.
